Select the Trunk

Let AstBill know how to select the trunk automatically

The trunks are selected based on records in the table astroute. Right now there is no web interface to the table astroute. You have to use phpMyAdmin or OpenOffice to edit the table.

You assign Trunks based on route prefix. You assign all your available Trunks to each prefix.

If there is two different routes to the same destination. AstBill is using the term Cost to choose the best route. It is natural to route your call on the trunk with the lowest cost. The Cost we are talking about is the field Cost that you can edit on:

In the same interface you can enter the
MaxUsage: parameter
This parameter tells AstBill how many concurrent calls can be routed on this Trunk.
