How to prepare the CentOS server for the Astbill installation?

This is not that hard to do. The first point is to get asterisk 1.2 compiled and running. You also need Asterisk Addons Version 1.2 and the Asterisk sound 1.2 installed from the Asterisk Site.

The next is to download MySQL 5.0.13.

We recomend you install Linux (x86, glibc-2.3, dynamic, gcc Standard)

Many people have tried the MySQL RPM downloads. On CentOS that give Access problems with Stored Procedures in MySQL so just download the Standard version. It is easy to install and INSTALL.txt in the AstBill package explain how to do it.

The RPM downloads works exelent on Fedora. We have not been able yet to find out why the combination of CentOS and MySQL RPM is a problem.

The last bit is to install Apache 2 and download Drupal.

Unpack Drupal to the directory where you want to run AstBill The rest is written in AstBill INSTALL.txt.
