IVR informing credit Balance

Hi,

Does the agiastar.agi receive a special parameter to tell the customer how much credit balance is left in their prepaid account?

I would like the customer to dial a certain extension to execute the agiastar.agi which the IVR tells the customer how much balance left.

Is there anyhow I can achieve this?

I have just created AGI script the uses the callerid to playback the credit balance the user has. its a very simple script that uses the callerid to query the astbill database for the balance and plays it..

Let me know if you are still look for this, I will be happy to share it or anyone else.

file recieved thanks for sending to me. i must be doing something wrong though.

I have checked the file is in the correct location and spelling is correct. I checked permissions for the file as it was saying access denied. Once i chmod i now see the following error.

Do you have Asterisk-perl

Do you have Asterisk-perl installed, You need Asterisk-Perl module for this. you can download at http://asterisk.gnuinter.net/

If installing the asterisk-perl does not help, please verify location again and the file is executable.

I confirm asterisk-perl is installed.

When i chmod the file to say 660 in the cli i see permission denied on the file. when i chmod a-x or u-x filename the output shows file not found.

Any ideas anyone

Did you by any chance open the file with windows editor and then saved it. if you did, then re-open it using nano or vi and then save it again because same time dos text format text have issue.

also try this command:
chmod +x /var/lib/asterisk/agi-bin/astaccountbalance.agi

I replaced line 1

#!/usr/bin/perl

with

#!/usr/bin/perl -w

All is working now

Is possible to share script on this forum so that we dont have to email to users? if this is not possible, maybe we can have miscellenous directory in Astbill source download which will have miscellenous script such IVR, backup script and any other script that others are using for astbill and might want to share.

This is not implemented yet. We are releaseing AstBill-0.9.0.14 tonight so it will be part of 0.9.0.15. There are many new small features ready to be put in to 15. We just need to get 0.9.0.14 out urgently due to a few realtime issues.

We also have an IVR with sendtext nearly ready so if your phone supports text you can dial a number and get the balance by text or sound.
